- Go Sliding on 2-4 different places right around the house - children and and some pretty steep adult slopes.
- Go skating at local skating rink.
- Cross-country skiing in the fields and forested areas around the house.
- Cross-country skiing at the Montmagny ski area.
- Cross-country skiing at the Massif du Sud. and other area nearby.
- Downhill skiing at the Massif du Sud.
- Downhill skiing in the Quebec city area 40min to 2 hr drive depending on hill chosen and weather.
- Rent or bring you snowmobile for thousands of kilometers of tracks. locally. If you want to rent a snowmobile, tell me I can get some interesting prices.
- snowshoeing. both locally and in the area.
- Watch out the patio door as a winter storm strikes the house with its full furry. Makes you wonder how anybody survived back in the heydays.(winds over 90km and temperatures below -35 are not uncommon)
- Quebec city Carnival every year sometime in February.
- Quebec International Pee-wee hockey tournament in early to mid february each year.
Note: Even when there is no snow in Montreal, there's usually over 4-5 feet of snow at least here.

If you care about your life please STAY OFF the river ice pack, although it may look flat, stable and adventurous, it's actually a mass of Ocean tide generated, ever-changing (fall in-between) ice floes. It's easy to tell where to stop. The tree line is as close as you want toget to the waterfront in winter.
Ne pas vous aventurez sur les berges du fleuve en saison hivernal, La glace n'étant pas stable, Vous pourriez y tomber dans l'eau, vous chances de survie seront alors nil.... Ne depansser pas la ligne d'arbre au fond du champ.
Mont Ste-Anne ski hill, about 1 hour's drive away. Lots of x-ski too.
